Sunday Live Sessions at Rocksalt: Walk In for the Music, Stay for Dinner

Updated: Jul 14

Sunday afternoons at Rocksalt have a rhythm of their own. From 4pm, the Bornstein Ultimatum takes over the room, and Bay Street fills with the kind of easy energy that only live music brings.

The band is led by David Bornstein, who brings in a fresh lineup of Melbourne musicians most weeks. No two Sundays sound quite the same, which is part of the drawcard. Regulars know to check in on the week's lineup before they arrive.

Walk In for the Session

The session itself is walk-in only. There's no booking the band, no reserved seats for the music, just turn up from 4pm and find a spot. Dinner is the part you can plan ahead for, with tables bookable through OpenTable.

Walk in for the session. Stay for dinner.

Good Food, Good Company

Rocksalt's kitchen keeps running through the session, so plates and drinks move around the table while the band plays. It's a relaxed way to spend a Sunday, whether you're settling in for the afternoon or just passing through Bay Street.

Plan Your Sunday

Sundays from 4pm. Walk in for the Bornstein Ultimatum live session, and book your table for dinner through OpenTable if you want to lock in a spot to eat.
